An iconic match

From footwear to fine watchmaking: Pump it up! In collaboration with Reebok, we reinterpreted the iconic Pump gesture through a mechanical lens. A simple push winds up the movement and brings the watch to life. Limited to 250 pieces per version, this is watchmaking that plays. Because true luxury doesn’t take itself too seriously.

The Icon

First introduced in 1989, the Reebok Pump redefined performance footwear with a bold idea: a shoe you could inflate for the perfect fit. Instantly recognisable by its signature orange pump button, it became a cultural icon, worn by elite athletes and embraced by street culture. More than a technical innovation, the Pump embodied a spirit of playful experimentation, where interaction was part of the experience.

That same spirit now transcends disciplines, from the foot to the wrist. Each watch is paired with a limited edition of the new shoe, extending this iconic concept into a new dimension of interaction and design.

The Pump

Reimagined for watchmaking, the iconic Pump provides a unique way of power delivery. An anodised aluminium pusher transmits the energy of each press directly to the barrel spring, winding the movement while activating the power reserve indicator. Beneath the surface, an intricate mechanical choreography unfolds, visible through openworked bridges and a fully skeletonised rack. One press delivers more than an hour of power reserve. And once fully wound, the gesture remains, purely for the pleasure of interaction.

Material

The case is crafted from forged quartz fibre, a material rarely seen in watchmaking. Lighter than it looks yet remarkably resistant, it offers a unique aesthetic freedom, forming a matte surface with a distinctive moiré pattern: no two cases are alike. Inside, a titanium “sarcophagus” protects the movement, ensures water resistance to 10 ATM, and anchors the integrated rubber strap. A bold construction, engineered for both performance and comfort.

Movement

At its heart beats the hand-wound manufacture calibre HMC 103, integrating the Pump system. Compact and precise, it delivers a minimum 74-hour power reserve and features an original Straumann® hairspring. Visible through the caseback, the movement reveals a refined architecture adapted to this unconventional winding mechanism. Technical ingenuity, driven by playful interaction.
