Housed in a 42.8 mm case, its stunning aventurine dial shimmers like a star-filled sky, where three satellites orbit around a skeletonised central minutes disc. Drawing from our award-winning Perpetual Calendar, the new Flying Hours introduces an instantaneous display designed to captivate. Powered by a unique in-house spring innovation, each passing hour sees a numeral jump crisply into view as the previous one fades away.
Functions
Rather than using hands, the flying hours tell time through rotating discs, adopting an instantaneous display, so you can see the numerals jump every hour. This function is powered by three fixed discs, each rotating on its own axis, arranged in orbit around a central minutes disc.
Movement
The automatic HMC 240 allows for the time to be shown without any hands. Instead, a series of four discs are used to read the hours and minutes.
