Combining H. Moser & Cie.’s watchmaking prowess with the craft of gem-setting, the Streamliner Tourbillon Rainbow in red gold dazzles with its sapphire gemstones. Invisibly set into the bezel, each sapphire is of a different colour, displaying a full spectrum of tones around the dial. In a striking play of contrasts, the flying tourbillon rotates above the dial made of Vantablack®, an innovative coating used in astrophysics and taken from the aeronautical industry.

Surface Finish

Extremely meticulous polishing and satin-finishing work on adjacent surfaces is required to obtain the high-end finishes for which the Streamliner collection has become renowned. The transitions between the different types of finishes must indeed be flawless.

Complications

Conceived to counteract the effects of gravity on the watch’s timekeeping precision, the tourbillon is a device in which the regulating organ and escapement are placed, which constantly rotates around a central axis to eliminate any positional errors.

Movement

The HMC 804 is an automatic tourbillon movement which counteracts the effects of gravity in two ways: the one-minute flying tourbillon, and the patented double hairspring where two identical hairsprings compensate for any positional errors.
